Clik here to view.I come across many individuals that have experienced devastating losses, fought heart wrenching battles, and faced daunting challenges. Sadly, a number of these people fill their hearts with bitterness, concentrate on finding someone to blame, and wallow in self pity. Their books are often testimonials of unhappiness and despair.
Yet often I come across inspiring individuals who face what ever life throws at them with love, faith and grace. Instead of focusing on their losses and their poor fortune, they are thankful for each day and use their experiences to comfort and inspire others. These are the individuals whose love, humor, warmth and faith shine bright, and make all our lives better.
Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
2 Corinthians 12:10
New King James Version
Mary Ann Wasil Nilan embraces these words from Paul, the Apostle, and endeavors to live by them every day. The two videos below provide you with an insight into the wonderful woman and mother I’ve had the good fortune to get to know.
Sadly girls and women are being diagnosed with breast cancer early in their lives, sometimes even in they teens. As a mother of two daughters Mary Ann fully understands the importance of educating girls in being able to detect changes in breast health that could be the early warning signs of breast cancer. The outcomes from early detection are much more positive. This is why Mary Ann founded and is the driving force behind The Get In Touch Foundation

Mary Ann’s story is personal to me. Like many people, my family has been impacted by the devastation that breast cancer can bring. I lost my maternal grandmother before I was even old enough to really know her and my Aunt Jean is a breast cancer survivor.
October 2012 is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Please support events in your communities and please help establish a Daisy Wheel Program in your schools.
I’m very blessed to work with some truly wonderful people.
